Dear Brothers of the Southern Province:
It is with utmost humility and pride that I have accepted the
request of Grand Polemarch William “Randy” Bates, Jr. to
become the 9th Southern Province Polemarch. In accepting
this awesome responsibility to serve as a Province Polemarch
in the 32nd Administration, I believe that I am prepared and
ready to lead the great Southern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi
into our second century of achievement.
For the past six years, you have elected me to serve as your Sr.
Vice Province Polemarch under the leadership of the 8th
Southern Province Polemarch, Ronald E. Range, who is now a
member of the Grand Board of Kappa Alpha Psi. I have learned
a great deal serving with and under former Province
Polemarchs Thomas L. Battles, Dr. Frank S. Emanuel, and
Ronald E. Range. I have accepted this position knowing that
with your assistance and God’s grace, my vision for the
Province will only successfully build upon the foundation
previously laid by each of them, as well as past Province
Polemarchs Ullysses McBride and Robert T. Hughes. I am
confident that the Southern Province will continue its
progressive path of excellence.
As we embark upon the second century of Kappa, I call upon each of
you to rededicate yourselves to the principle of
achievement. I call upon each of you to join me in our quest
for greatness as a Province, and to commit yourselves to
making the second century of Kappa significantly better than
the first.
